Afternoon high white clouds were speckled with bright blue breaks. Great Northern is back open and groomed allowing top of the mountain access down to the trails. Snow guns were silenced as the temps have warmed up for a little while. Occasional odd spaced piles of snow dotted the end of the day hard surface. Running in the front of the pack I lost it setting my bare skin down onto the frozen surface. Lots of witness’s had a front row seat to what I hope is my one fall in shorts this year. All too soon the rope was pulled across the trails for the night sending remaining few walking back up the stairs. Good start for the second week of the season but it will be hard to top the previous seven days were top to bottom was possible for three of those days.
