Great Lakes Ice Cover

Post by Highway Star »

One major contributor to the cold winter two years ago was that ice cover on the great lakes maxed out at nearly 90%, and they stayed covered for a while, keeping things cold in the northeast, but also reducing lake effect snow. We're already well ahead of the last two years, here's NOAA's very detailed site on it.
