This April skiing is great, that was so fun today, but no skipping March! I'm looking to a few gigantic March dumpings (it was sad when the lifts stopped running today though, that's for sure...looking back over the day, I can't think of any run that stood out more than every other run!)

Re: Feb 23 Report
Sunshine warmed the early spring snow loving crowd. Summit temperature checked in at 40 degrees making my shorts seem like a sensible choice. Deviated from the standard warm-up by ripping off a Downdraft descent. Soft rutted pot marked spring grooved surface felt nice underfoot. Had to stop in the wide Canyon Bowl enjoying the whole slope to ourselves. Quickly scooted over to Bear joining in the party carving up Outer Limits. Loved the right side berm with the groomed snow falling off to an abyss of moguls. Cranking some big fast turns on Lower Cruise Control prepped us for a fast run down down Needles with speeds approaching 60 MPH.That's what happens when the fast racing ladies are leading the pack. Shot out of the ice rut protecting the Ovation Headwall with a classic body hip check into the snow to scrub speed that entertained those watched from above and below. Recovery from skis over my head to mashing the bumps was impressive according to onlookers. Cascade Headwall was dreamy with a slow forgiving surface. All to soon eight hours had passed on one of the finest spring like days of the year.

Greetings From Killington Resort!
Last weekend, as we enjoyed the first warm, sunny days of the year, even avowed winter-lovers like ourselves were caught daydreaming about spring. Of course, we know that spring is still at least a month away—March is definitely a winter month in Killington, historically our snowiest, in fact—but still, the sun on our faces and soft snow beneath our feet were enticing.
The upcoming weekend forecast calls for more spring-like weather, so enjoy it while you can—winter appears to be staging a return the first week of March, bringing with it more snowmaking on Superstar and, undoubtedly, more snowfall from Mother Nature.
If the warm weekend days have you looking ahead to spring, remember that Killington's spring is not only the longest spring ski and snowboard season around, typically stretching all the way to the end of May, it’s also the most action packed.
Our Nor'Beaster series of events kicks off on April 1 with the Hibernation Park Jam and continues with events every weekend through April, including the Dos Equis Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge on April 8, Pond Skimming on April 15, the Dazed and Defrosted Music Festival on April 22 and the Killington Triathlon on April 29. NorBeaster wraps up on Monday, May 1 with the traditional May Day Slalom but, if the weather allows, we’ll still be skiing and riding for another month or more.
With all of these spring things to do, you’ll want to be here every week, and the most economical way to do that is with a Nor'Beaster Spring Pass. Right now they’re just $189, and valid every day from March 17 until the snow melts.
So join us this weekend and think about spring. But don’t forget; winter is not over yet.
