Greetings From Killington!

The longest season in the East rolls on this Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at The Beast - the only East Coast resort operating this weekend!

The Superstar snowpack is holding strong, but we can't say the same of the other trails across the the mountain, which are looking greener by the day despite a surprise May snow event earlier this week. That's right, even with summer just around the corner, The Beast saw a few inches of fresh snow on the upper mountain Monday and Tuesday, and unseasonably cold temperatures kept our snowmaking stockpiles in tact.

Summer shall not be denied, though, and Memorial Day Weekend will usher in the season of mountain bikes and golf carts. The summer event season gets into swing with the first annual MTBVT Vermont Bike and Brew June 9-11, featuring group rides, demos, friendly competitions like a skinny bridge pond cross challenge and whip off, cold drinks and good times. Buy your ticket today and earn a free 1-day mountain bike ticket valid for the remainder of the summer season.

If you'd rather feel your footsteps against the trails, the brand new Under Armour Mountain Running Series August 18-20 is one event you won't want to miss. Whether you're doing the 5K, 50K or something in between, Killington's terrain is sure to offer plenty of difficulty and diversity. Register today to reserve your spot at the starting line.

As we continue our spring skiing and riding operations, be sure to check the Daily Report for up to date operations info – conditions change fast this time of year.

It's going to be a great weekend, and we hope to see you here in Killington.

Dirty Girl Mud Run, July 8
You'll run, jump, hop, bounce and splash your way to the finish line with your besties and thousands of other women at the 2017 Killington Dirty Girl Mud Run. We'll have a new course layout, new obstacles and this year's event supports Susan G. Komen® New England.

Greetings From Killington!

Our snowmakers built the base, you bumped and believed, and Mother Nature has thus far cooperated - that's right, the longest season in the East rolls on this Memorial Day Weekend (Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Saturday/Sunday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. & Monday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) at the only East Coast resort still turning a lift for skiing and snowboarding!

Sunday, May 28 is day 200 of our winter season, and you're invited to celebrate and share cake with us at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar around noon! This isn't the end, though, we'll reopen Thursday, June 1 and beyond if the snow is schussable - stay tuned!

On Monday, May 29, we're celebrating Memorial Day by offering FREE skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking and golfing to all active duty, retired and honorably discharged members of the US Military - just present valid military I.D. a copy of your DD214 form or discharge certificate at a ticket window or the golf pro shop!

The Superstar snowpack is holding strong without any breaks, and we're kicking off summer operations while at the Killington Golf Course, Bike Park and Snowshed Adventure Center this weekend too! You can book a morning tee time, hit the berms on the Bike Park's Snowshed trails, get your kicks on the Beast Mountain Coaster and Skyeride, then head up to Superstar for grilling, sunny soft bump bashing and the best late-season ski and snowboard party this side of the Rocky Mountains.

With so much happening this weekend, every detail matters. The Golf Course is open for pass holders only on Friday, then daily summer operations begin for the public on Saturday, May 27. Golf Course pass holders also enjoy a 20% discount at the Clubhouse Bar & Grill May 26-June 9.

Over at the Bike Park, Snowshed lift service begins with weekend service (Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) until Vermont Bike & Brew weekend (June 10) when Ramshead comes online and daily lift service starts.

The Snowshed Adventure Center also opens this weekend with the Beast Mountain Coaster and Skyeride operating 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day until the full Adventure Center begins daily operations June 17. We also expect the hiking center, K-1 Gondola and Peak Lodge to open on June 17.

As we continue our spring skiing and riding operations, be sure to check the Daily Report for up to date operations info – conditions change fast this time

Sounds wonderful but I will probably miss all the festivities due to a medical issue. Enjoy all of you who can participate.

Thanks for the photo, Shortski.

Monday is my only shot at one more lift serviced day this season. I can't come up Fri-Sun, and I don't think June 1st is happening for lift service (although I do plan to join the hiking party that day).
I don't care how many breaks are on S by Monday, and I don't care if it r*ins all day. If they spin the lift, I'm there. We'll see if it makes it four more days intact enough for them to decide to still spin.
2014 - "A South Ridge trail is Pipe Dream. A South Ridge lift shouldn't be."
2019 - "A South Ridge trail is Pipe Dream. A South Ridge lift (operating midweek) shouldn't be."
2023 - Killington announces that the South Ridge lift will run five days a week.
2024 - Killington lied.

It's kind of lame that Superstar counts as three trails on the conditions page. Upper, Middle, Lower? Headwall, Snow Fields, Preston's Pitch?
I get all the news I need from the weather report

Conspicuously missing from today's report is the more expicitly planned June 1 reopening. Just the same 'june?'
We've seen for weeks.

4 years ago today: closing day pow day with free lift tix.
No pics on current phone or I'd put some up.
