You want smooth surface and low fun, ride the corduroy.

A small group of us do selective pruning on special shots during the fall.
K cleaned up Julio and Anarchy after dropping some big timber a year or so ago.
It helped a little, but stump piles were formed.
You run a higher erosion risk if you remove all the debris.
Stumps, logs and streams rule.
That's part of the allure. :like

Thought I heard a chainsaw running while going up Skye Peak Quad today...I looked for any people, but didn't spot anything (ever since Big Jay got a "slope" cut, the sounds of a chainsaw is the last thing I want to hear from a lift!)

If they could organize a handful of volunteer "cleaning" weekends in the fall, they could probably get a lot done. I've volunteered with RASTA on backcountry trails and they are amazing; well spaced trees with dangers removed. All done with the cooperation of the forest service who told us what kind of trees could be cut down and what to leave to help the environment.

Those snow snakes as well as stumps and rocks are horrible when they are hidden by new snow. Always worried when I am skiing fresh powder in the woods but can't resist going in there.
live by the sword ... obviously there are always risks. uncovered two snakes on one run that threw me off the horse in last thurs pow. no one expects a paved paradise but in recent history (this season being the exception) we've gotten less snow so perhaps a little more cleaning is necessary to make them more skiable for the "new normal". as stormy mentioned the backside of the berms can also be problematic though there probably isn't much to do there.
