sunday 3/19/2017 report
a tale of 2 days. cloudy, coolish morning that we found uninspiring. the trees & bumps were rather stiff. upper needles & mid/lower vertigo were on the slick side. sun came out after lunch and it was a different day. the trees softened nicely though more nastiness has been exposed. enjoyed the bumps on lower skye lark and we timed breakaway just right. at this point the mtn has been been skied to death. we could use another 33".

This afternoon at the Mighty K was simply marvelous.
Best conditions imaginable to adjust fit a new pair of Lange.
You could lay fast lines anywhere you wanted or dice NE chowdah .. your choice.
The Eyepod was particularly fun as nobody seemed to venture there.
SS and Corniceimo were full of spectacular packed powder.
How they labeled today as machine groomed is difficult to understand.
For our posse, this marks the end of the best 4 day stretch of VT skiing in several years.
Cannon, Breadloaf, Mansfield and Pisgah.
Spent.

Re: sunday 3/19/2017 report
I skied Breakway early and the snow was a bit stiff. Skiadikt glad you skied it later in the day and enjoyed it. OL had been groomed very nicely so we skied it a few times. The other runs at Bear we also enjoyable including an ungroomed upper Widfire. Thimble requires entering it either from Old Needles or from Dreammaker and it had some icy spots. Enjoyed the snow under the gondola at Needles. Passed on Stichline as it had more exposed than when I skied it yesterday. Skied middle and lower Vertigo - lots of moguls there. Stairs had decent snow most of the way but the very bottom section had lots of obstacles. Old Superstar was not as good as yesterday. Loved skiing the section of Preston's Pitch that is skier's left and under the chair. The moguls on middle Ovation were pretty good but chose not to ski lower Ovation because of reports I had heard. The snow in the woods was more solid than yesterday and some of them had lots of rocks and wood showing through. Lower Cascade had some slick spots when I skied it this afternoon. Great Bear and Northstar skied pretty good although the usual spots are becoming bare.

Afternoon Report
Never thought I'd say this, but the moguls at Okemo were outstanding today. And no one on them.
Went there to go to a ski shop [which we never went to]. 2.of the runs at J Gore were super all the way down. Fast chair with a bit of a line early [noon] on. All the way across to the south side with nice run on triple sec along the way. Several great runs over there some with awesome spring conditions. Only one downer [Outrage I believe] that was overly thin. Back to J Gore via Searles run on the way for a couple more before our supper at the Loft.
All in all my best day of the last 3.

Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down
Don't you let that deal go down
Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

Re: sunday 3/19/2017 report
Saw lots of peeps out on Sunday. Almost social skiing at times.
Ditched them all to continue the woods adventure tour back in the canyon.
All the undisclosed skied as nice as Saturday.
What's up with that little wooden house mounted to a tree in the light? Has a Wizard doll inside. A memorial of some sorts?
Left around 5 to find the most cars out for the ride home all season. Best 2017 weekend at the K overall so far for me.
Now I see that Mike wants me to take a survey...that was very nice of him.
Dear Rusty,
Thank you for being a passholder at Killington Resort. Our team continues to work hard to improve our focus on your experience at our resort, and we hope you continue to notice the changes we have implemented. In an effort to continue to solicit feedback from our guests, we have developed a survey specifically for you.
I hope you take a few minutes to complete the survey and let us know how we are doing. You are among our most dedicated guests and we truly care about what you have to say. All surveys will be read and discussed by the management team. In an ongoing effort to reward our most loyal guests, we will be picking at random one pass holder survey respondent to win a pair of skis or snowboard with bindings. The winner will be announced at our season pass holder appreciation day on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
We truly appreciate your business. If you have additional thoughts, you can email them directly to me as well. msolimano@killington.com
Sincerely,
Mike Solimano

Yeah Rusty, that's a non-denominational temple over there on Light.
Heavy duty incense over there while the Sherpas built it.
Who remembers the original Anarchy A lash?
Sorry Bob Big, I was confused .. the Greens went White last week.
You kno, it's all the same with >30 fresh.

One of my favorite liftline poaches. Seen that slope avalanche under the right conditions. Loneliest lift operator in Vermont back there.brownman wrote:Days like today put ski days into perspective.

Right On !
Great spot when the blanket is white.
That day, there were ~30 people there, they had just opened BF up after Stella.
Your lonely buddy Andy had to give our team a pickup truck ride back to base camp.
AsUkno, with nothing roped, you can end up anywhere at anytime.
