Saturday 5/13/17

Post by tyrolean_skier »

Today it was suppose to be a rainy day but the r*in never came down during the ski day. I got out early thinking I would ski as much as possible before the r*in arrived. I got tired of skiing all those moguls by the mid afternoon after 16 runs. The moguls were deeper than yesterday and there was more ice between moguls. The flat light sometimes would cause a problem and I skied without my goggles on occasion. We had fun times at the Umbrella bar and under GIS's tent. Rusty you should have come up and skied today. We missed you. Good times were had despite no sun.

Lots of clouds kept the sun at bay on a dry bumping May day. Glad that weather forecasts missed the call today. Chatted with a lady who hadn’t skied in a month. She had no idea that the moguls get this big and stay that way. She survived and I am sure all her friends will listen to stories of her horror run. Every time that I would ski past Ty with her broken arm I would shout Mono Polo. Tailgate burgers and beers would have been good with some sun but we were happy having plain dry weather.

Quote of the Day - Colorado may get the better snow but thank goodness Vermont has the better beer.

Afternoon Report:

Two sport day. 18 holes at Crown Point Country Club ($23 w/ cart on Golf Now Hot Deal !!) and back to the K 3:00 or so.

Skiing was better than I expected. Found it difficult to keep up the same speed as yesterday due to the flatter light.

The r*in held off until after the closing bell. On the radar, it looked like it poured on Mount Snow all day.
Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down
Don't you let that deal go down

Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

Someone told me that Mt. Snow got something like 9 inches of snow last night.

Well. Thanks for missing me. Wish I was there.

SBF kept texting me pics on Friday while I was sitting in meetings. Not fair.

Looking good for Fridays weather. If I can get the day off.

FRIDAY Partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 60s.
FRIDAY NIGHT Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 40s.
SATURDAY Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s.
Where is Happy Hour ?

Yet of the 5 pictured beers, only one is from Vermont.

Too, too funny . . . that was the first thing several people said when we saw the 'boot tree' - I had no idea what they were talking about - had to be explained and that's what I pictured
