I was at the local quarry last fall and we had to wait on the entrance road a few thousand feet from the blast site. The charges were timed so the rock would fly in the direction opposite from where we where parked. The blaster yelled fire in the hole and set off the 22 shell the lights the primer cord. Next thing we see rock headed in our direction. One rock when through the back of the loaders hood, nothing important broken other than some plastic. Rocks flew over our heads and landed a hundred feet behind us. Big OPPS!!

Looks like lots of cleanup after the SR blasts!!

Typical. They saved money. Not dragging blasting mats up saved a few bucks. No sand cover. Sure it looked cool. Stupid practice to not cover a blast. I hope they eat a chunk of that in a tiller next winter.
