Those GMT's look awesome. I'd love to get out there on the trail bike and check them out with you sometime this summer.

Mazie is a terrific athlete. She also excels at skiing. Here is what Killington Resort posted on Facebook:

Mazie Hayden, local 13 year old and the pride of Killington, is the 2014 USASA Skicross National Champion!

She raced in the Open (pro) Class and was by far the youngest competitor in her class. Go Mazie!

Just to clarify here - Mazie was the only athlete in her class...

That being said, yes she is a great bike rider and if she had been in the 21+ class (the one with the most competitors) she would have finished 11th out of 13 total. Mazie's dad helped build the Green Mountain Trails. She is intimately familiar with them since she lives within a 10 min walk of where the trails begin. I'm not dissing her at all - she has a lot of great accomplishments in two different sports that are thin on women competitors. I wish her all of the best in the future and hope that WHEN she reaches WC levels in biking that she can be a force to be reckoned with! It is very cool to see a local athlete who reaches great heights. I'm sure we can all name a few...

Just came here to say that even someone with an intimate knowledge of the GMT wouldn't have much of an advantage in the enduro. The tracks were brand new and unridden until a week before the event. I haven't even ridden them all and I've been riding and working on the trails for almost eight years.
