GMT weather/storm damage...

Post by madhatter »

Lower trails including Noodles, Mazie, Escalator and points in between effectively closed until further notice: The Riverside caretaker reported seeing a possible tornado last evening thats path apparently spanned from the Overlook to just across from Riverside Farm on rte 100. It uprooted a number of large trees , tossed the neighbor's truck into the river and tore the roof off a warehouse, but spared all the wedding barns, houses and Muddy's. Over 30 trees toppled onto the lower trails, 20 of those on Escalator alone. I suggest avoiding those trails until we can organize a crew to start clearing them. Thanks!

Bummer I plan to ride gmt Saturday. One benefit though, if you don't go all the way down you don't have to climb all the way up.
