Drove up to Dominic's a little while ago. Driving conditions are interesting with snow falling and wind whipping snow around once it hits the pavement. Visibility limited at times in blowing snow. Seems like few people are out tonight as roads are pretty empty.

If i was at the K, would be hitting a couple of runs.

Looks like 10-12" fresh.

Sounds like you need a new slider. Zero frost on mine this morning.

That's cause we got those nice new sliders over the past couple of years.

Made a big difference.

Bear Mountain, Skyeship and Sunrise lifts will not open today due to wind. At this time, the Snowdon Triple and Quad are the most likely lifts to open as scheduled at 9:00 a.m.

Common sense called, so we heard what it had to say.

With wind speeds exceeding 40mph and temps as low as -25°F at the base, the Metro Quad is the only lift slated to spin. Uphill travel is closed today, as well as our Ski & Ride School. Reach deep within and harness your inner indoor enthusiast, while we wait out the wind.

not to get too far ahead of ourselves but in the "it's not fair" category, between lift closures & challenging weather making it difficult to enjoy this fantastic snow, by weeks end, we "may" get some weather on the other side of the spectrum.

anyway while letting my frostbite heal, going for full-on sugar coma this morning with cinnamon buns and chai tea latte. stay warm!

Wow, that's really incredible. I didn't go to the mountain so I have no idea how bad it was, but that's really surprising. Especially because I'm sure you could go up Bucklin and ski down.
I went to Rutland to go bowling. Beautiful day down there, no wind at low elevations.
