Walk up from the bottom of Glades lift .... discussed with others that this may be K's choice to avoid peeps from using as a run .... and only a way down :?

As of 10 when I left you would need to carry lots of speed by the glades triple or have rock skis and cut a rope. Not sure if they started blowin great northern after 10.

Ski Patrol dropped the rope just before 12:30 allow for a short uphill hike to continue skiing Great Northern to the bottom.

Interactive map shows blowing on Lower Ridge Run and Great Northern between Rime and Killink, so that probably gets open soon. I don't think they intentionally required the climb past the triple to keep people from skiing it as an extra run. They just had to open it in stages.

follow the top coaches. I try but always fail, but they start off GN across Rime, turn Right and then scream down past the chair and up to the GN trail. Wish I could learn to accelerate like that.

Aye Captain. One ski is faster than two...less friction drag. I can turn on one foot better than when I sit on my tails...which is the other faster (two tails, no tips).

Twas a pretty standard move in the old days.

Taught you to think ahead, observe all of your surroundings, and when the plan went south, to see how quick your reflexes were [whilst retaining the ultimate goal of avoiding any skating]!

I don't fly past many "slow" signs anymore, but I do remember making it regularly in the past...and last season mid-week days (have I mentioned lately how great it is to be retired), one of the things I enjoyed on "groomer days" was being able to make it from the Superstar side over to the Gondi side (and the other way around) at the bottom around the K1 lodge without pushing.

My cousin always told me those "slow" signs were short for "stay low". So be sure to stay low as you go screaming by them.

So the only way to get TTB is to try and blast past NRT and up the hill? Is this true?

Does that look to be the weekend plan as well?
