It is at Lake Louise Vonn wants to compete in a men's World Cup downhill race in November 2018. Her sport's governing body, the FIS, will decide next spring whether the 33-year-old can go head-to-head against the men. "It is important to try to push the glass ceiling," she has told reporters.

I think they are at Lake Louise this weekend also?

Yup. Downhill training run today at LL. She finished 8th in yesterday's training run. Shiffrin finished 20th.

It just got cancelled. The training runs are not televised but the racers' times are updated in real time via Live Timing.

Yes, whole race cancelled. Maybe bad weather?

I don't have the Olympic Channel but I can stream live on NBCSN. NBCSN carries all of the World Cup races live for free if you login with your cable password.

Only thing canceled was yesterday's ladies DH training run at Lake Louise.

Another training run today at 1400 and the DH races [two] on Friday and Saturday at 1430. Super G Sunday at 1300.

Not sure what TV coverage is available.
Goes to show, you don't never know

LAKE LOUISE, Alberta (AP) — Lindsey Vonn fell and crashed into the safety netting on the final turn Friday in the women's season-opening World Cup downhill, handing Austria's Cornelia Huetter the victory.

An 18-time winner at Lake Louise, Vonn was able to get up after the wreck in "Claire's Corner" and ski to the bottom of the course. She was the fastest at each of the four intermediate stages and had a 0.05-second lead when she wiped out.

Vonn did not speak to media and declined autograph-seekers, saying: "I have to go ice my hip."

She later tweeted: "Well that hurt... had a nice lead the whole down but caught my inside ski. I'll be sore tomorrow but will rest up tonight and barring anything major I will be racing. Can't keep me down!"

Wow! Great result for Mikaela, and doesn’t bode well for anyone trying to dethrone her from the overall title. A few top tens in speed disciplines and she’ll wrap it up early! It’d be cool if she can get a win in every discipline.

So three podium finishes in three different disciplines in 7 days for MS! Wow!!

And yet the news last night and this morning only covered Vonn's crash. When are they going to learn that the current US Ski Team star is Mikaela?

And she wants to race the men. Very stupid of her and the USSA to waste time over this stunt. She should be concentrating 100% on her recovery from last years injuries and the Olympics, training and finishing races without getting hurt. So far, she hasn't even proved she can beat the ladies. Racing the men is a side show and publicity stunt.
