FYI Ed Carey was a long term ski coach at KSC/ KMS.On Saturday, 2/3/18 while skiing he had a heart attack and passed away later that evening.

I will always remember seeing is bright smile whenever I saw him at the KSC/Alpine training center.
Ed was a very caring guy. His children all worked in the ski coaching program with him at KSC/KMS.
You will be missed Ed.
Rest in peace Ed, until we all see you again.

I heard that he had an heart attack while he was with a group of kids. Not sure if this is true but if it is, I feel bad for those kids who witnessed it.

We were in the clinic picking up one of the students on our trip who broke a leg when he came in. The folks there appeared to be doing all they could. This is unfortunate for many reasons. Vibes to his family and may he rest in peace.

Met him while working events. Quiet and friendly. He loved skiing, taking time in the afternoon from work to get a few runs in before the lift closed. I'm sure he was late for work on many a powder day. We had a connection via GE, he on engines me on controls. I'll miss his smiling and quiet face. Sorry that his kids had to take the trip off the mountain with him in a sled.
