Good Obamatron stay in lock step, the government is here to help us. The less information the government keeps on its citizens the better it is for the citizens. The census is a head count to determine federal representation by state population, they don't need to know anything more than a total.

Yup! I was overwhelmed by all of the outcry in JG's posts after Obama extended the Patriot Act "as is" with no revisions for privacy (a campaign promise). Interesting that Mr. JG was up in arms when GWB signed the Patriot Act into law, but Obamatron can do no wrong!!!!

You all realize of course that the Census has asked for much of this information in all the censuses taken in the last 30 years and more, don't you?

Yes - much of it has, but some of it hasn't. Regardless, I don't have an issue with it.

Census 2000 short form wrote:# Name
# What is this person's telephone number?
# Sex
# Age and date of birth
# Is this person of Spanish/Hispanic/Latino?
# Race
# Is this house, apartment, or mobile home-
* Owned by you or someone in this household with a mortgage or loan?
* Owned by you or someone in this household free and clear (without a mortgage or loan)?
* Rented for cash rent?
* Occupied without payment of cash rent?

Are you f-cking serious? Are you really comparing the U.S. Census to the Patriot Act? These are the same damn questions the census has been asking for years, including sixteen years under Dubya and Reagan! (Of course, if you're Shortski, you just "ignore" the questions until it politically behooves you to get your giant, stained panties in a twist.)

And since there was no KillingtonZone "when GWB signed the Patriot Act into law", I guess you're just pulling that out of your ass, too? Go ahead... find me the posts where I'm "up in arms" about the Patriot Act. I'll wait.

Idiot.

C'mon now, you know that's not what I was doing.

This post really indicates how you were totally fine with the Patriot Act under GWB:

Wall Street will collapse! The American financial system will crumble to dust! You'll end up living in a refrigerator box eating a handful of "Kibbles 'n' Bits" as your sole daily meal! Time and space will cease to exist and the universe will collapse back in on itself in a massive protoplasmic implosion unfathomable to the human mind!

Vote for this bill! Vote for it now! Vote vote vote don't think don't react don't question don't modify just VOTE DAMN YOU VOTE DO IT NOOOOOOW NOW NOW! Trust us! We know what's we're doing! We always do! Just like with Iraq or the Patriot Act or Warrantless Wiretapping!

VOTE YES OR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL DIE A SLOW HORRIBLE DEATH FROM HOMELESS MALNUTRITION AND/OR GIANT BLOODTHIRSTY MAGGOTS! JUST BEFORE THE GALAXY CEASES TO EXIST!

(Luckily, Sarah Palin will be claimed by the Rapture 0.00074 seconds before The End, which is probably why she still looks so darn perky.)

Funny how two things you were apparently against under the GWB - The Patriot Act and Warrantless Wiretapping - you have not posted against it now that Obama has accepted both programs "as is". Something I'm pretty certain he campaigned against, yes?

It's okay - I'll wait

Changing our tune, now, aren't we, JibberJabber... from the declarative, sure-of-yourself

Interesting that Mr. JG was up in arms when GWB signed the Patriot Act into law

to the less sure-of-yourself, more mealy-mouthed and equivocating

This post really indicates how you were totally fine with the Patriot Act under GWB

Go ahead, JibberJabber: show every other post in which I've ever even mentioned the words "Patriot Act". Show the posts in which I've discussed the Patriot Act, for good or ill. You already know that you can't, can you? Because the only thing you could find in your scrambling KZone "Search" for some -- ANY -- instance of me being "up in arms" about the Patriot Act was a satirical post in which I mocked voting for the TARP bill before thinking through the ramifications of the action by equating it to equally rushed support for Iraq and warrantless wiretapping... a foolhardy, short-sighted action that equally troubled YOU, too.

So thanks for agreeing with me. You got anything else? Anything in which I've ever talked about the Patriot Act? Anything at all? C'mon, JibberJabber, I know this didn't turn out to be the "gotcha" that you hoped for, but there's gotta be SOMETHING else out there, right?

Right? So what can you salvage from this?

Funny how two things you were apparently against under the GWB - The Patriot Act and Warrantless Wiretapping - you have not posted against it now that Obama has accepted both programs "as is". Something I'm pretty certain he campaigned against, yes?

Didn't really write anything "against it" then, either -- now did I? (Go ahead, do your "search" thing again.)

was a pretty asinine, out-of-left-field comment when the original topic of the thread was filling out the freakin' U.S. Census?

In the context of the census discussion, it was pointless. You were criticizing JG for answering the census questions while comparing them to the Patriot Act, even while saying you saw no harm in answering the questions and would be answering the census yourself. Talk about nonsense....

I thought it was pretty clear, with or without context, that I was speaking to JG and how absurdly lockstep he is with Mr. Obama on any and all issues - even if those issues are issues (I would wager) he'd be vehemently against if someone from the GOP was running things.

Apparently, in JibberJabber's world, only those "absurdly lockstep" with "Mr. Obama" wouldn't have objections to filling out the damn census.

(Wait -- I guess that means that I was "vehemently against" the census when "someone from the GOP was running things", right? Quick, JibberJabber, go use the search function to see what horrible things I said about the census when Dubya was in charge!)

Give it a rest already, JibberJabber. Find something else Obama-related to bitch about, m'kay? Shouldn't take you more than a few seconds.
