Election wasn't as close as it seemed

When you look at the breakdown by voting district you can see how lopsided the support for Kerry was and how across the board it was for Bush. If not for the population densities in the big east , west and central cities it could have been a rout.

Wow! It really is amazing how much of the population lives around the big cities considering the # of votes and the number of blue voting districts.

I thought the popular vote was a pretty accurate indication of the level of support
