The last time I heard from bin Laden is when he came out just before the U.S. presidential election and tried to get Kerry elected by stating that if Bush wins, then the red states would become terrorist targets.

But the election didn't go his way, so he went back to his cave.

Iraq DID have advanced machinery to make WMD's....but now it's missing. I thought there was no evidence of such?

If it was SOOOOO real... Why didn't we close the boarders down and keep all this crap from leaving the country??? As well as letting terrorists in...

I'm not sure why. I'm guessing there is no way we had the man power to cover all the borders. If I remember correctly some responsibility was put on Iran/Israel to keep out insurgents or what not. Not sure on my facts here.

One thing that angers me.....we need to do something about the mexican border....

Agreed that "we" meaning everyone (congress)...rushed into war.

However, the fact whether the threat was immediate or not will never be solved. UNLESS, WMD's are found (wherever they may be/not be) and can be linked to Iraq.
