Anybody else winning the VW TDI lottery?

Post by GSKI »

I have a 2011 Golf and my payout with fix is $6,700 and the buyout would be $19700 (total amount) with 50,000 miles on it. It is a great car with 47MPG so I plan to take the money and the fix. Since I bought it for cash new and took the depreciation hit and would have to buy another car and pay the dealer or seller markup it does not seem to make sense to do the buyout. Here are the tables from the settlement to be finalized in October:

Just curious if you have an on board computer that calculates MPG? If so what was that saying?

Not even as accurate as VW's emission readings
The MPG calculations from my onboard Jetta CPU used to reflect 75 MPG driving from KBase to Pittsfield.
Of course it would .. you can coast nearly 4 miles on that stretch of road.

The fix payout is a good value :like

That is why you have to use the averaged setting (#2). If you do not every time you hit the gas the mileage tanks and when you let up it soars totally useless.
