Kaepernick Knock it Off

Post by freeski »

Most black people appreciate being in the United States. They realize slavery was not good, butt without it they would be living in the corrupt sh!thole of Africa. It's time for Kaepernick to pack up his black privilege and go home. Not standing for our National Anthem is inexcusable and can not be tolerated. Also, he sucks now anyways. :seeya :seeya :seeya

Who cares.

He's getting basically the OK from the national media, who don't really have the balls to criticize him.

Of course if you do, you are obviously racist.

BTW, the NFL does not make it mandatory to stand and leaves it up to the player to do so or not.

You'll see a lot of people care. If he does it again the fans will be ready and it's going to be ugly. If he doesn't do it again it's still going to be ugly. Insults will r*in down on him for the rest of his career. He is a marked man. The NFL fans can be kind of mean.

Tommie Smith and John Carlos are still held as heroes by the media, so go figure.

Muhammad Ali refused the draft. Smith and Carlos raised their fists. Feyisa Lelisa crossed his arms in an X. Kaepernick didn't stand for the anthem. All were protesting injustice, perceived or real, in peaceful ways. Nothing wrong with taking a stand. Salute them even if you disagree with their positions.

There are lots of ways he could have expressed himself without slapping the nation in the face. The country's treated him pretty well. His protest was as bad as burning the flag or burning the koran. He's going to get slammed. He's probably already getting death threats, that will be the next chapter in this story.

ESPN ran the story at like 10 past the hour and gave it maybe 15 seconds.

They don't cover it and it goes away.

And then you have people who think they should be saluted.

Not in the same league as Ali, or ANY Olympic champions.
They earned the world stage and leveraged it for a cause.
Kapernick chose to take a massive dump on everyone.

Great leadership skills. His team should be real proud.

Good point about earning the right... Great video at the bottom of link. Fan burns jersey while playing Star Spangled Banner. Also the picture of the vetran standing in his wheelchair with no legs says it all. Notice how all the good coverage is from overseas.

Might actually be more effective if he was the STARTING QB.

Egh. I don't see many similarities between these folks and Kaepernick. Look at the quotes from his expanded explanation yesterday for his actions. It's clear he's bitter about quite a few things. He's doing a good job directing the spotlight onto himself instead of to his cause (causes?).

Happy to see him using his Freedom to express his opinion, but I think there are ways he could have a much broader impact.

Also pleased to see other players silently voicing their opinions ....

Heard a good theory today.

He is doing this as he thinks that the 49ers won't cut him for his lousy play.

Morons Kapernick and Lochte should call Strahan about hosting their very own 'reality' show :dislike

Should add Jemele Hill from ESPN to the list after her tweet.

Of course ESPN won't say a word to her.
