This might have been posted earlier, but an interesting article. I like the drawing: An ice climbing wall with torches at the top, a Jumbotron, a ski jump onto a crash pad or freestyle aerialists into Snowshed Pond... LOL!
I actually remember seeing this drawing in the Killington Grand lobby a few years back. I don't think it's there anymore. They were a little ambitious at the time, I guess! LOL!
There is an "artists rendition" of the proposed village in the Grand Hotel. It is in the real estate office on the back wall, or was somewhat recently. I think the biggest part of that one was a clock/statue/fountain thing in the middle that people could use as their meeting place. Everything else centers around that.

Sounds like HS's handiwork.
No. It was American Skiing Company handiwork which, history shows us, is pretty much the same quality level.
The town got really pissed off last year when Killington tried to wiggle out of building the commercial space in their "first phase" and instead pop up a bunch of condos and trophy homes. I could do without the jumbotron but Killington really does need a Whistler-style walkable commercial area to turn the place into a destination resort and turn the focus to the base village rather than that blight of an access road. Sadly, to attract people off-season it's all about the shopping and restaurants rather than the skiing.
