Re: Beer Quiz
I only got 9.
There are some wrong answers in that quiz though.
The strongest beer is not HOTD Dave. First off the question is too vague since they did not specify by fermentation alone or by eisbock techniques. SA Utopias is currently the world's strongest beer (and still in production) at just over 25% abv. - produced from fermentation alone. Dave was produced by freezing and removing the ice - leaving behind more alcohol - even then, a German brewery has reached 27% abv using this technique within the last two years.
Although Belgium has a great many breweries and brands, the US has way more than 400 these days. As of last year, there were 1,400 breweries in the US. Although they do not have to register their brands with bbtf or whatever the atf is calling themeselves these days, brewpub brands are brands just as well. If they said per capita or per square footage, then they might be correct.
Lager is not a style of beer - it is a classification - mostly based on the type of yeast that was used to ferment it. Pils/Pilsner/Pilsener is the most popular style of beer in the world.

Yeah 0-15. I guess I did bad in the poll. I consider myself a beer common sewer. Even Doc No's Piels sounds real good to me. OP beer is my favorite. Sneak back to Doc No's place for HH. OP = other peoples beer. Life is good.

The "champage of bottled beers" - and it's in clear bottles. Haha what a joke.
