Killington has the longest season in the east. Nowhere Else!

Who is walkin up on Sat???
Rusty,
Madvillain and I walked up Superstar to Launchpad again today. There was a 6' gap above Highroad and a 22' gap below Highroad before the last steep on SS lower. MV will probably post some pics tomorrow. Anyway, it's getting a little more exciting :D with some long 10" wide cracks developing in some of the flatter sections both above the last pitch and near the "Runout" at the bottom.
Although we had heavy r*in during a thunderstorm last night, the only noticable effect was a shrinking of the coverage area and widening of the open spots above and below the headwall that can be seen from the base.
We had another thunderstorm with heavy r*in tonight. So . . . . we will see what happened when we walk up tomorrow morning.
Saw a few people out hiking SS this morning. Hope to meet some more snow lovers tomorrow.
Ski it while you can!

Nice Pics MV! Looks like you and Dad had a great time. When does the season start? I'll have to try this hiking for turns thing someday. If there's anything left that could possibly be enjoyable I might hike Memorial weekend. Should be up. Not 100% sure yet. Tucks is still a possibility for that weekend also. Hiked Tucks once before I started skiing/snowboarding. Looked awesome.

I hope that there will be something left for me to hike on Memorial Day weekend as well.

I'm hoping the same thing, next time I will be at K will be Memorial Day weekend.

As long as it doesn't r*in too much, there should be enough snow for Memorial weekend [fingers crossed].

skiing wise . Today Sunday not looking as good. Next few days not looking any better . The end of the month
should be top to bottom of dirt and rocks .

I hope you are wrong but if it's just dirt and rocks we will hike anyway but without skis.

Is Superstar the only thing with coverage? How is the Canyon looking?

Looking out my window, middle Ovation is white again. The upper mountain picked up an inch or so last night.
