Will it attach to the back of the front door to my condo to hold 4 pairs of skis vertically behind the door? I've been looking at buidling something, but a locking ski rack might do the trick...

doubt it...the way it attaches to the car is weird. Above the doors on the jettas underneath the weather stripping there are these little bolts that the rack hooks onto.
