sad day for mariano

Postby skiadikt » Fri May 04, 2012 1:39 am

mariano tore his acl shagging fly balls before the game tonight. probably out for the season. very emotional post game interview. feels he let down the team but instead of running right back to ny, he wants to stay with the team to make sure they're ok. sad day for yankee fans, baseball and especially for mariano - the greatest of all-time and one of the finest human beings in all of sports.

Sad day for baseball.
I blame Obama and his profligate, socialist, liberal tax-and-spend expand-the-universe ways.

man does that suck. I guess they are planning on Robertson to close now. I dont unsderstand why they wouldnt put Soriano in that role since thats what he was for Tampa.
Yanks went from having too much pitching to not enough in a months time

Soriano has proven that he can't handle the job with the EE.

This is a major, major loss for the EE.

I like it but it is just shame that his career may end like this.

Sorry to see Mo go down. A class act with truly amazing stuff, particularly since everyone knew what he was gonna throw.

Cutter in, cutter out. Cutter in, cutter out. Same pitch, but his ability to work location was unmatched.

and the good news is that mariano says he doesn't wanna go out like that so he'll be COMING BACK. definitely a difficult road at 43 but if anyone can do it, he can.

Ya ya and he can leap tall building in a single bound. As you said he is 43 and this is his push off foot.

No way I can see him coming back this year.

With the right work out and fix, he could be back mid July. early October at the latest.

Wow...providing us with a 2.5 month window in which you think he could be back. Really went out on a limb there.
