i'm sure this won't happen again but agree w/ atomic ...

he never got over w/ the yankee fan. was viewed as a loafer who didn't bust it (particularly compared to the captain) so yeah there's been resentment over him going for the bux. would have liked to seen him stay and certainly wouldn't boo him. guy was a great player - certainly their best player over last 4-5 years.

Looks like Ellsbury is doing just fine.

Ellsbury, J NYY CF 25 93 14 29 8 2 0 11 9 16 8 2 .312 .369 .441 .810

And you might note he smiles quite a bit on the field and at bat with the Yankees.
