I did not know he played in more World Series than anyone-14, and the most wins-10. When I was a kid about 5 years old just learning about baseball he was one of the first players I can remember knowing, because I thought he was called Yogi Bear. RIP.

Feeling sad in the G home  . . . he did have a great life

Heading to Yankee Stadium next week to see the Yanks/Red Sox, will be sure to visit his monument and show our respect :-)

Yogi doesn't have a monument (yet). He has a plaque and some other pictures, but no monument yet. I am sure he will get a monument at some point though. He deserves one.

There are 7 Monuments in Monument Park, if I recall correctly: (in no particular order):

Joe D
Gehrig
Miller Huggins
Ruth
Mickey
George
9/11

Have fun at the game and take lots of pics in Monument Park and post some here.

He also participated in several more WS games as a coach or manager with the Yankees and Mets. Holds the record for that too. Most at bats for a series, most hits during the series and a lot of others I read today.
