As long as I get some Victory Golden Monkey, I may be biking this thing

Mmmmmm, sidecountry....
Gonna have to change the bike route unless the weather gets Real Warm. Can't see ya going up to Needles on the snow, and the down side would be real treacherous. Funny to watch, but a killer to ride.
Anyone have SPIKED tires?

Yup, Nokian Extreme 296's, a great studded tire:Anyone have SPIKED tires?

But studded tires only work well on ice, hard pack climbs and downhill on snow. Climbing on spring snow with them is a bitch (heavy and no traction advantage), but they're awesome for downhills. It's better to get open knobbies at about 45 psi and crank through it on the climb and let some air out going downhill.
By May 14, though, I'll be on the bike full time

Pedro, do you ride a Cannondale with a Lefty fork? I haven’t ridden since my bad accident working as a bike messenger but I’m thinking of getting back into it this summer. Since I gave my Gary Fisher to my younger brother after the accident I was wondering how the lefty fork works with fork mounted bike carriers (if it does at all)
Thanks, didn’t mean to Hijack the thread though.

Some things just can't be bought......
Check out the MTBR.com Forums in the manfuacturers forums they have a cannondale section and i believe I saw a thread on this a few weeks ago, some dudes said it worked but they may have had to modify somthing. I use the raptor so i dont take my front wheel off.RJSVermont wrote:Pedro, do you ride a Cannondale with a Lefty fork? I believe SBF is also planning on participating.

Dork told me tonight that he will not be participating because he is too fat right now and will not have the stamina necessary to finish it. I told him he definitely needs to shed some pounds.Pedro wrote:RustyK wrote:I have never tried it yet. Would like to, but they have not annouced how much.
