North Plainfield - no with some exceptions.
Basking Ridge is next town to me. Send me a PM if I can help. How old are the singles? What do they want? Access to NYC?
We manage apartments all over NJ.

I would suggest Morristown, NJ. It is only 15 min. from Basking Ridge and there are a lot of restaurants and bars in Morristown so it is a good night life and there are a lot of young people living there. Not the cheapest place in NJ but the entire state is very expensive. I would also suggest Hoboken but that is very expensive and much further away.

Stay away from North Plainfield. Not the best of areas. Most of the places around Baskin Ridge are getting impossibly expensive because of the migration from NYC out into the suburbs. Morristown is a great place. Not sure about affordable housing. When I moved to NJ I made the mistake of only checking on the internet for apartment complexes. I highly suggest you try and get a few newspapers. There are alot more affordable places listed in the classified.

I highly recommend Morristown too. It has a great mix both economically and racially and has a nice new england feel to it. it's also very convenient to NYC and north jersey. it has undergone a transformation from a retail town to a restaurant town over the past 5-10 yrs. lots of great bars and restaurants. not the cheapest place but also not the most expensive.
if you want affordable in NJ you pretty much have to go to either the hood or the boondocks.
