I thought the 1st NYPD officer gunned down ITLOD was in 1891. Not sure why I thought that.

So, Pens in 4?

If it is a sweep, it's more likely the Rangers sweeping the Pens. I saw them get swept a couple of years ago by the Bruins and lost in five games last year to your Blue Shirts. They don't show up, especially Crosby. Maybe this year is different?

Why did Hall of Famer and Englishman Henry Chadwick use the letter "S" to denote a sacrifice and the letter "K" to denote a strike out when he invented the baseball scoring system in the 1800's?

Here's a nice little write up on him, I like that he advocated for players not to drink during games and not to bet on games!

This is true, but it's not why he used them this way so it's the wrong answer.

In the 1860's when Chadwick developed the scoring system the rules of baseball was that the pitcher had to throw the ball over the plate in a way that made it easy for the batter to hit it. Strike outs were very uncommon (like striking out in slow pitch soft ball). However, the sacrifice was very common and it was considered very honorable to "sacrifice oneself". Back then, the bats were skinny and the ball dead and soft, homeruns and long hits to the gap were not very common. However, the sacrifice (especially the sac bunt) took place all the time and was a major part of every game. Therefore, Chadwick used the "S" to denote the sacrifice that took place all the time and the "K" to denote the strikeout that hardly ever happened.
