Re: Hear, Hear...
I remember that, and for some reason, it made the rounds yesterday on the interwebs and sports talk radio here in NY.
Great find Maddy.
Monday said he was thinking of bowling them over but instead went for the flag as the 2nd match was about to ignite it.
Really cool video. Thanks for posting.

That would explain it. It was 40 years ago today, Sgt Pepper taught the band......madhatter wrote:happened on April 25, 1976...junior wrote:I remember that, and for some reason, it made the rounds yesterday on the interwebs and sports talk radio here in NY.

Re: Hear, Hear...
It was twenty years ago today
Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play,
They've been going in and out of style,
But they're guaranteed to raise the smile,
So may I introduce to you,
The act you've known for all these years,
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
If you really want to get technical it was released in 67. which was 49 years ago.
49 + 20 = 69 in my book.
Sorry wrong again....

Sgt. Pepper's lonely, Sgt. Pepper's lonely,

It's wonderful to be here
It's certainly a thrill
You're such a lovely audience
We'd like to take you home with us

I don't really like to stop the show
But I thought that you might like to know
That the singer's going to sing a song
And he wants you all to sing along
So let me introduce to you
The one and only Billy Shears
And Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Songwriters: JOHN LENNON, JOHN WINSTON LENNON, PAUL MCCARTNEY, PAUL JAMES MCCARTNEY
