Zero, being held for the WC. They won't want it skied down/off, especially at this point

I agree it won't open to the public until after the WC but find it odd that the SS chair has been running all morning on the webcam, still is.

Probably just testing it to see if it will break.

They rather have it die now that Thanksgiving.

It's been running for hours. Don't think it's for snowmakers.

I don't see why they don't open it. There's not nearly enough to hold the race on and they are going to have to make much more on it anyway. So why not?

They may be hesitant to open it without the headwall cornice in place.

They will need forerunners to pack down the course, won't they!? But of course FOM (Friends of Mike) and FOK (Friends of Killington) would get first dibs as forerunners along with KMS weenies. What about FOKZ!?!

Snowboarders should DEFINITELY not be allowed on Superstar until after Turkey Day! The head wall cornice would be carved with skid marks! Hate skidmarks on the head wall course

Also, it isn't "retail snow"....

from pg 27 of the Ski Vermont 2017 magazine:
http://skivermont.com/magazine-signup
Ironically, the snowmaking formula for preparing a World Cup racing surface takes snowmakers in a direction they are usually loath to go. [...] water is often injected into the snow to form hockey-rink-like ice. That means that after the racing, the Killington crew will be faced with another unusual challenge- "to turn it back into retail snow," as Solimano puts it.
