friday 1/20/17 report
major inversion out there today. instead of skiing out of the fog, we skied into it. hopefully someone posts pics. grooming was a bit more firm than yesterday. opened on a flat & fast ol. still lots of snow on lower vertigo. gs bumps on lower skyelark fun. 2 days removed from "the dump", the nats & woods are showing signs of wear. north star, thimble & breakaway holding up. dipper woods pretty much trashed. wasn't particularly fond of patsies either. a few shorter low angle shots were excellent.

Cirrocumulus undulates, otherwise known as mackerel sky. Yep, nice pics. Always pretty above the clouds when there's an inversion.

Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down

Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

Re: friday 1/20/17 report
Afternoon Report: Pretty good day out there Friday.
Empty. Mid mountain fog, but not too bad.
New snow was a blessing. With that said, be careful as the cover is NOT as good as it was two weeks ago.
Pro Tip: With the warmer weather, the snow is a bit grabby. I wish I had put some warm weather wax on my skis; would have made a big difference and I will do that for Saturday.
Started at Bear: OL groomed down the middle was OK. But, except for hard right {which is bony) the remaining moguls are double fall line. Dream Maker over to Needles Eye; upper DM pretty rocky in places. Same for upper Vertigo. Bittersweet was very good.
Heard Old Supe was good so hit that into Ovation - ROTD.
Northstar and Low Rider at Snowdon; Nstar very good. Be careful in the woods, not well covered and pungi sticks abound.
Disappointing run on West Glade; not real good. Double Dipper right side was pretty good though. Escapade was OK (similar phenonenon to what I had on West Glade (??) and Flume pretty good but bony.
Late day run on Breakaway was also not as good as I expected. Icy on the bottom. Stash was very good including the right side woods after the curved wall. Best woods cover on the mountain IMHO. Went over to the new "Pipe trail" which was good in places but icy above the pipe.
Several of the runs were tied for ROTD (O, NS, DD, E-Flume) but Ovation got the win as it let me get over to Snowdon without having to skate across the K1 lodge!!!
