With last weekend - 49 To display that, here is a picture of the Northrup YB-49 flying wing jet bomber. This aircraft was rejected by the Air Force as it was too difficult to keep flying straight and true on a bombing run. This has been solved with the advent of fly yb wire systems. As a result, the flying wing was reincarnated in the form of the B-2 Spirit. It has the EXACT same wingspan as the B-49. During its development, Jack Northrup, the founder and visionary behind the YB-49, was brought out to the facility to see that his Flying Wing was finally going to see the light of day. Jack passed away before the first flight of the B-2.

You're right! Was definitely a weird feeling coming into the Denver area and being stuck in traffic.Big Bob wrote:Maybe it's time to move!icedtea wrote:2 trips, this past week and the end of January. Day twenty eight on Friday at Stowe. Day twenty nine at Cannon on Saturday.
Stowe was really soft, wet and sun baked, but almost everything off the Forerunner Quad was still covered with snow edge to edge and top to bottom. Cannon was firmer and had better snow. Both days with my older brother visiting from PA.

Re: How many days have you skied/ridden in the 2016-2017 sea
With Easter on Sunday, I only got to ski one day this weekend. I came over to Killington to sample what you guys have skied on all winter. Found some really nice stuff to ski on, and twelve lifts running. Good show!
For the picture, its the Boeing B-50. Originally designed as the B-29 D model, both Boeing and the US Air Force realized that Congress would not be in a mood to fund more B-29's right after the war. As the aircraft was 77% new compared to the "C" models, they renamed it the B-50. It had 30% more range and could carry the early LARGE Nuclear bombs of the era. It had just enough range to effectively carry those to most any where in Russia and return, something the existing B-29 could not.
