Party of state rights and a smaller, less intrusive federal government my ass. Only when it applies to their ideals.

like always yer dumber than a box of rocks...congress needs to change the federal law...you can't simply grant states the right to ignore federal law...deadheadskier wrote:Party of state rights and a smaller, less intrusive federal government my ass. Only when it applies to their ideals.

You may be technically correct, but deadheadskier statement is also correct. In my opinion, if enough of the population votes to legalize it then it should be more valid then the dc swamp. I could care less if people smoke, just don't block getting on the gondola.madhatter wrote:like always yer dumber than a box of rocks...congress needs to change the federal law...you can't simply grant states the right to ignore federal law...deadheadskier wrote:Party of state rights and a smaller, less intrusive federal government my ass. Re: NSR AG Sessions plans to end the fun
well the problem is if you have the head of state ( POTUS) ruling by decree you don't have states rights at all...if lead from behind obama wanted it legal he should have asked congress to take it up, but like always he only votes "present" so as not to actually take a position at all...biged wrote:You may be technically correct, but deadheadskier statement is also correct. I'm not against it at all but legalizing at the state level while remaining criminal at the federal level is not actually legalizing it at all...it's ridiculous that its a schedule one drug and congress should act to reclassify/decriminalize/legalize etc...
but to say that the trump admin wants to intrude on states rights ( that in this case they don't actually have but might have if congress changed the law) or personal liberties or whatever DHS said is just partisan quackery...Trump has said in the past that congress should change the law if that's what the people want...til then federal law will "trump" local law as it always has in the past...

When states go full 420, the cops who opposed: truth, justice and the American way need to resign. We don't need dickheads limiting our god given right to persue happiness.

If 2/3 of the States go 420, Congress will act if they haven't already done so.

This may well force Congress to pick a side.

This was not posted as a political discussion but to show that this DoJ plans to actually enforce the current laws that are on the books.Powderputz wrote:Folks: we have a POLITICAL board page elsewhere on the K-zone.
