New Lodge

Post by Mister Moose »

Interesting changes to parking. Bay 2 access looks different, they show a drop off zone in the front portion, with curvy access behind that.

It looks like the new lodge will begin 40 feet downhill from where the old one currently sits. The light line by the ski racks is the old lodge.

What's it going to be called?

They should add some ski racks down by the gondola so you don't have to carry them up to the ski racks in front of the building. Is the walkway on the gondola side going to have a million steps or will it be sloped again? Hopefully it will be heated.

Too industrial for a ski lodge, the ones that are being built out west are nice. Builder Bob is correct with new construction heating the hard surfaces like at K-1 base will pay dividends.

I challenge the architects to a ski - off.

I would like to know how the handicap are going to get up all those stairs from the parking spots shown at the base of the stairs. Princess Janet, we need your input!

handicap? I think you mean handicapable or disabled.

How do you think the chinks and the gooks will fare on those stairs? What about the wops? They're greasy, so they might slip.

Here is another option. Imagine, parking lot to left; K1 to the right.

a) Park your car and walk to K-1.

b) Go skiing.

No one likes waiting for shuttles close to the mountain. This is greener and more fun.

ADA parking should be moved to Bay 1 on the far side of the Gondola barn so their access is flat to the new lodge by using the covered walkway on the mnt side of the barn. May have to add a walkway around the gondola que on the parking lot side, but this should be done any how.

The Japanese people are much better skiers then the Chinamen. The people from China are much more sensitive to heat and light. Both rent equipment most of the time.

It would be nice if they didn't stop in the middle of the trails butt, at least they're skiing and they're dropping money faster than Killington can drop ropes after the FESTIVUS.

In the Alpls the Italians are a huge problem on warm days when all lifts are open. They think they own all of the Alps because they haven't gotten over the fall of The Roman Empire.
