It is untrue that all of the COVID confirmed cases were hospitalized people. We have confirmed positive people in the USA at home quarantined so that is provably false. Hospitalized means admitted to a hospital. I used to work in the medical diagnostics field. The majority of flu testing is sent in by physicians, not at hospitals. Besides in the USA alone we have several hundred COVID positive people that are quarantined at home not in a hospital.

As for the 4000 dead so far over the time past... Well most flus go on and infect a billion people on this planet. This certainly hasn't even reached that due to the extreme measures China eventually took essentially shutting down everything. I didn't say it WILL kill a million people I am saying it can at the rates seen so far. Do we know absolutely everything? no. But it is very apparent that when it breaks out hospitals are overwhelmed with critically ill people as seen in Wuhan and Northern Italy. That is NOT like any other flu. You think China would shut down essentially everything if it was just a run of the mill flu?

Could it be all propaganda to instill fear on people? There's always a possibility but it seems the other possibility that this is indeed a very serious thing is more likely as there's not much to be gained by this by anyone.

China has a LONG history of not being truthful with their numbers. Given the amount of time the outbreak went on without much of a response, there could be multiple ten's of thousands dead in China and no one would know.
