Go Kart Track?

Post by Hey Jude »

My nephew (10 years old) mentioned to me that he wanted to go to a go kart track. I know that there aren't any in my area (Fairfield County, CT) so I was wondering if any of you in the NY, CT, RI, MA area would know of any place to race go karts? I think I noticed a sign on I-91 in MA that said something about go karts but unfortunately I did not get the name of the place.
Thanks in advance for any info.

They have a track at Killington in the summertime - Rams Head parking lot.

Lebanon Valley Speedway is an interesting family outting in Eastern NY, near the Massachussettes border. They run stock cars on Saturday nights all summer and have Go-Kart rides for nearly all ages as well as special organized race nights. For more info, check out http://lvkarts.com. Instead of age requirements, they have height requirements. Plus, if you've never seen real DIRT modified stock car racing, this is the place to do it at. Nothing better than watching a Big Block sliding sideways through a hairpin corner at 100 mph!

For info about the race track itself, it's http://www.lebanonvalley.com.

There is a cart track in North Haven, off of 91. Not sure which exit, I think 5 or something like that. Off the ramp, turn LEFT and go over the interstate and at Rt. 5 light, go right. Should be a sports park on the right within a mile or so.

edit: OR take the parkway to Rt. 22 in North Haven. Exit and go Right. At the light turn LEFT and the park should be on the right.
