Dinosaurs roamed the earth when the EE won all those championships during the slave period of MLB.

Re: AL East 2018
and when were you born? maybe you should start living in the real world? how many have NYY won in YOUR lifetime? vs how many the sox have won over that same period....how many post season appearances for each? ( the benchmark of a successful season) unless you are still a minor, it's not even close...SnoBrdr wrote:27, please stop living in the last century.madhatter wrote:nope, just calling out the cheaters...SnoBrdr wrote:And the whining continues by the butt hurt EE fans.

NYY post season appearances in my lifetime
= 26 13 straight1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019
BOS post season appearances over the same period
= 18 sox did mange 3 in a row 3 times I'll give you that so they haven't been completely unsuccessful but their current streak is zero...1967, 1975, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018
NYY world series appearances same period
=111976, 1977, 1978, 1981, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2009
sox over same period
=71967, 1975, 1986, 2004, 2007, 2013, 2018
WS wins over that period
NYY 7
Bos 4*
no matter how you slice it the sox are not even close... in fact if they were able to win every other year for the rest of your life with NY never winning again they'd be hard pressed to match NY's 27 wins and 40 WS appearances...
here's another fun little stat, the sox aren't even second best...
they've never even appeared in back to back WS let alone win back to back WS...In its 116 MLB seasons, the franchise has won 27 World Series championships, the most of any MLB team and 16 more than the second-place St. Louis Cardinals.
now you can be a homer and torture the stats all ya want but the history books don't care...
* I guess they have NY beat in number of managers fired for cheating...congrats...

Its Mid April, the Red Sox are undefeated, and the Yankees have not won a game.

Re: AL East 2018
Yankees fans we know the Red Sox suck these days thanks to cutting payroll but let’s not forget who has the highest payroll in baseball for the 2020 season and was picked by all the experts to face the highest payroll from the National league the LA Dodgers...
The Yankees lead all 30 clubs with a $113,955,507 payroll for the 60-game schedule, according to Spotrac. Before the coronavirus pandemic halted the start of the season and forced MLB to trim more than 100 games from the schedule, New York was set to pay its players over $250 million for the season so they cut it back but still lead all of MLB at over $113 million.

Re: AL East 2018
Absolute worst pitching lineup in Red Sox history
Sox fans deserve a break. Too many recent titles
With the Bruins sadly gone ( Presidents trophy curse),
Boston fandom is rooting Celtics. Greekfreak overrated.
Can Cam Newton make the GOAT loss bearable
