Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
for many years, there were always clocks in all of the lift terminals. but noticeably since last year, in many terminals, inexplicably there are none. as far as i know there are none at canyon or NRQ, and i don't recall there being one anywhere at skye peak last year.
while i could look at my phone, that's a pain, and the phone i used to have died all the time anyways. some of us have to leave for work at some point during the ski day so it would be nice to keep track of time during skiing/riding...
just a small request, thank you

And have the clock facing outside so the customers can view it, not turned inside facing the lifty.

I can get behind that. Maybe we should have a "peaceful protest" and burn down a lift shack if we don't get our way.
But seriously, they were convenient and useful.

Old guys love to know what time it is even if we no place to go.

Especially useful when skiing with the family. Seems like a simple thing that somehow got neglected.

One option is a good old fashioned TIMEX. They take a lickin and keep on ticking. Yeah, I know, a boomer thing, but it works.
Another option is to email Mike Solimano <msolimano@killington.com> and see if he can get it done.

And, why not get an accurate "big dial" thermometer at the top of the K1 Gondi. That "mercury" POS they have up there is inaccurate and useless.
With that said, I am OK looking at my phone if I need to know the time. I keep it in my top pocket in a quart size Ziplock bag to keep it dry.

Goes to show, you don't never know

Re: Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
there are clocks, but mostly facing in so the lifties can see them. if it's so important for them to know the time, then perhaps a 2nd one is necessary so the customers can know what time it is.

Re: Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
There is one at the bottom of the Snowdon 6. But a number of others have disappeared over the years. The mounting back of the one the board at the bottom of the Superstar quad is still there years after the clock vanished.
Re: Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
Most snow flakes can't read a clock. Why waste the electricity? It wouldn't be green. If you can't tell the time by your own watch or the sun? You must be an idiot. Petition away. People like this end up in the Gondi after closing. Then file a bogus lawsuit. Buy a watch. Learn how to tell time. It used to be taught in pre school.

Re: Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
I agree they are nice but most of the time they have the incorrect time or the battery is dead. So if the resorts can't be bothered to keep a $0.50 battery in the clock or task the lifty with making sure the time is correct then get rid of them.

Re: Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
Hard to ski laps between zoom meetings when you don't know what time it is
Re: Petition to put clocks back in lift terminals
When I'm at a ski area, if I looked at a clock and then looked away and you then asked me what time it is, I guarantee I wouldn't remember unless it was within 10 minutes of closing time.
