Unfortunately due to the woke nature of the times, Okemo is likely next on the re-name list if we are dropping the whole Native American thing. Okemo has already lost some of the classic themed trail names over the years (Geronimo, Peacepipe, Papoose, Brave, Quiver, etc.) but at the rate we're going shortly will lose in addition to it's name the rest of the trail names that give it it's character (Arrow, Wardance, Sachem, Chief and Tomahawk). What do you think the new name will be?? Monadnock@Buttermilk Falls? IMHO it's a shame to see where we're are as a society, this is not progress as the Progressives want you to believe rather regression.

“Racer’s Edge” to “Racist Pledge”

“The Stash” to “White Trash”

“Interceptor” to “Interbreeder”

And “Woodward” will now be known as “Peckerwood”.

This is silly. Ski resorts are businesses. If they have a name that a fair segment of their patrons considers offensive, it's just good business sense to change it.
