Afternoon Report: Way better than expected for an early season Saturday following yesterday's r*in event. Headed up a bit after 1:00 and got in 7 runs or so before the precipitation finally crossed over the Killington Pico ridge [looking at radar through the day, the storm stayed West of the mountains most of the day]. Good visibility [of course, the thin cover / dirt helps provide definition] and temps through the afternoon then more gray as the clouds started crossing over the ridge late in the day. On our last ride up the chair [a bit after 3:00] we felt a reighndrop or two then changed over to snow. Was coming down pretty good on the hike up the stairs then back to r*in as we rode down on the gondi.
Did I mention thin cover? Need some natty / snowmaking love real soon. With that said, pretty much able to get down the left side 'bump line' without any real ski damage. And, with the moderate temps, was sorta bumpy across the entire trail !!
ROTD: Rime
Glad we went out.
