On the other hand, a recent poll shows Jackson has some of the strongest support of any recent supreme court nominee. As I said earlier, Republicans have failed to make their case that she's some kind of radical.

I think it was a mistake for Biden to tell the country he was going to name a black female as a Supreme Court justice before he did it because it suggests that he was engaging in some type of affirmative action and allows bozos on the right wing to claim she's being appointed for her gender and race rather than her qualifications. However, there is very little question that Jackson is a highly experienced, highly qualified judge. And yes, she in fact has better qualifications than several recent appointees.
Of course it was a mistake to say he was going to name a black female etc etc That’s what Biden does best, mistakes, so you can’t blame people for complaining, I never heard of such a thing for any type of job and it makes her nomination stained ,

“After reviewing Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s extensive record, watching much of her hearing testimony, and meeting with her twice in person, I have concluded that she possesses the experience, qualifications, and integrity to serve as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court,” Collins said in a statement Wednesday.

“I will, therefore, vote to confirm her to this position,” the centrist senator from Maine said.
