MS had almost a second to make up from the SG and had to go all out in the SL to make up that time. She came very close to winning the thing.

Gold in the Giant Slalom today after a Silver in the Super-G earlier in the week. Nina O'Brien just missed the top 10 in GS today.

SL coming up Saturday. Note that these results from the World Championships don't count towards as a WC win. We still have to wait for win 86 to tie Stenmark.

No one was perfect. Wonder how it would have turned out had Martina Bassino not had such a bad error in the first run.

Paula Moltzan gave it a try with a broken hand [from the parallel event the other day]. Heard she broke three of the bones in the back of her hand when she hit a gate.

87!!! First in the first run of the SL in Are and a win by almost a second. Win number 13 in this season.

Great to see! she had to work hard to become a champ in slalom. it's what i admire most about her, always willing to put in that work.
pretty cool her bro came out unexpectedly for that one, a very genuine moment when she saw him, caught it live on the nbc/peacock sub.

Shouldn't have as much pressure on her at the WC Finals this week.

incredible achievement!!! hard to compare eras, but certainly in the conversation for GOAT, especially since she's done it across all 4 disciplines. so much better than the other women and she seems to be getting better if that's possible. no telling how far she's gonna go. and she does it w such grace and humility.

MS finishes the 22/23 season with win number 88. Quite a season with 14 WC wins and season champion in SL and GS and of course the Overall.
