Re: 2023 Season Pass Pricing out -
It does seem that the mega pass is the way the industry is moving - problem is that there is not a mega pass that works for the skier whose home mountain is Killington. We have to buy both a Killington pass and some other mega pass (if we want to ski elsewhere at all), but we still have the added crowding associated with the mega passes.
Its really a bad deal for anyone whose home resort is on these passes but is not unlimited on one of the mega passes.

Has anyone been able to upgrade ICON base that come with Beast 365 to ICON base plus?

When i used to get a Beast 365 with the Ikon base I got an email from ikon asking if i wanted to upgrade to full for an addition $300. This was a few years back.

On the Killington website: The included Ikon Base pass is not eligible for upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass or Ikon Pass or eligible for Adventure Assurance.
A lot of the more popular western resorts are not included on the IKON Base.

Re: 2023 Season Pass Pricing out -
Some non-unlimited mountains out west offer an Ikon pass as an add-on to their season pass. Why can't Killington do the same? I get that there is the 365 pass, but not everyone golfs and mountain bikes; every Killington season pass should have an Ikon add-on option.boston_e wrote: ↑Mar 24th, '23, 11:20

Think of the 365 as getting the a Kiiington pass plus a base Ikon pass for less than buying the 2 separately and then also getting the summer activities thrown in for free.

As I have been saying for years….
As a Killington condo owner, I’m tied to this awesome mountain but…..
IKON’T stand it !
There is nothing in it for us Killington season pass holders

Exactly ! Not that others will get it but nice try !!PinnacleJim wrote: ↑Mar 25th, '23, 14:47 Think of the 365 as getting the a Kiiington pass plus a base Ikon pass for less than buying the 2 separately and then also getting the summer activities thrown in for free.
As I post every year, 30 years ago a Killington only full pass, at the early rate, was $1,350. That's with the old lifts, etc.
No summer stuff, no Ikon, no Pico, no bring a friend, no 25% off, etc.
Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down
Don't you let that deal go down
Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

We all get it - most of used to buy those passes too.Captain Hafski wrote: ↑Mar 26th, '23, 07:44Exactly ! The market landscape was different then so it is irrelevant what a pass cost 30 years ago.
And - there were not parking issues brought on by the IKON crowd either.

I tend to agree. What matters is the comparison to other products in today's market - comparing to various pass markets from years ago is not relevant.boston_e wrote: ↑Mar 26th, '23, 09:12We all get it - most of used to buy those passes too.Captain Hafski wrote: ↑Mar 26th, '23, 07:44Exactly ! I view Ikon (and all mega passes) as a negative thing.
Pico is a valid benefit of today.
Bring a friend 25% discounts were not really needed in the old model of higher priced passes / lower priced day tickets so those are kind of a manufactured "benefit" - but almost all skiers have some sort of pass so the bring-a-friend discounts are not that useful.

I wonder if this is an attempt to help solve the crowding issues that we kept hearing about. Did the IKON reservation requirement help with that as well?
