Either way, it's going to hurt. 50+ degrees and 1-2" of heavy r*in as being called for elsewhere is going to do a lot of damage to the snow. Makes you wonder if events like this, which are inevitable early season, play into their decision regarding how much snow to make or not to make. A near total melt out between Dec 15th and Jan 15th every year now happens way more often than not. That's a lot of money washing down the Roaring Brook.

It definitely plays into how much snow they put down. As has been mentioned on this site, gone are the days of painting a trail white and moving on.

i saw this also and couldnt believe my eyes. if you check the most recent update its even crazier. i hope we just get the 2" of r*in and not the biblical noah's ark level deluge that model is suggesting. if we get anything near that model it will be catastrophic as an understatement.

and people still think climate change is a hoax/no big deal/theres snow outside. climate change = more moisture in the air, more powerful storms, more unpredictable.

could you imagine if that was snow though!

It looks like they got their decimal point wrong, it's showing the "correct" amount in mm

Getting kicked in the balls is getting real old. The mountain wouldn't be making snow on Upper GN right now if they didn't expect the worst.

Yeah - But we are not "Central VT" for this one. 2-4" for K per last night's local news.
