Thanks for sharing. Fond memories of that version of K before they put in the broad boulevards.

South ridge used to be a tall forest with great tree skiing. Then one winter back in the late 1980s or early 1990s a wind storm blew over and flattened all the trees and layed them out on the ground. Complete devastation. Improper forest management is why you have the thicket of small trees these days.

Echo woods! I only know the short evergreen chutes version. Even though the trees are much bigger it would cool to thin them low down and bring it back.

Echo Woods was insanely fun for quite a while. Like mixing The Jug with a Christmas tree farm! At full speed it was an almost psychedelic experience.
