sunday 3/10 report

Post by skiadikt »

mother nature answered our prayers delivering a fresh shipment of grade A "champagne" cement that paved down very nicely but a lot of work. gonna call it 10". though the sun peeked out from time to time, there was a constant wet light snow requiring goggle swiping. bear parked all the way to the back and skyeship full so there were fannies but just not in the seats or the chairs. skied empty. pretty beat up after the 8-11:30 shift.

pretty good crowd at bear for spring ahead day. there was some sort of power outage - bear lodge dark and the gates didn't work but the lifts ran. slight delay on the SPE. claw/burst at the bell skied beautifully. a couple inches of cream on top of the groom. rotd. also got trax on shorty which skied the same. trax on dream but much deeper. everything at bear skied great (didn't try OL)

ditto everything at needles and supe though supe did get down to base in spots. they pulled back the guns & hoses so the preston's liftline skied great. old supe firmish bumps but more than enough snow. mid o good. friend didn't care for lower. low road good.

GB hadn't been skied a lot so consequently good. snowdon mainline ok but pretty hacked up. upper flush>highline good. never went upstairs.
