wednesday 3/13 report

Post by skiadikt »

another beauty though some clouds did roll in late morning. real warm out there. nothing like yesterday but a decent crowd. 9-12:30 shift.

the usual highline opener excellent packed pow. stayed on groomers early and they all skied great. one of the best groomer days of the season. hard to find a bad turn. everything at bear good. an ungroomed wildfire softened nicely ttb w good bumps on upper. old upper needles continues to be quite good. cruise good. old supe continues to be fave w excellent bumps.

in the canyon, escapade probably rotd. cascade better than usual. lower double dip mostly soft bumps. ridge run skiing as well as it's skied all season. the only downer is royal flush is pretty much done 48 hrs after 2 feet of snow. yikes ...

Ridge Run skied great, but where did the bumps go?

Old Superstar, great for 3/4 down, then bare spots already. (Previous wind scour)

yeah someone "erased" the bumps on ridge run. interestingly old upper needles had the bumps on the very top drop-in "erased". they pick up a little further down. almost like they got filled in by the wind.
