2024 Election
Re: 2024 Election
It’s easier to fool a Trump supporter than to convince them that they’ve been fooled.
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

Re: 2024 Election
I was listening to a podcast (the Compound and Friends) where they were discussing the state of the economy. By all objective measures, including unemployment, profits, stock market, GDP growth, etc., the economy is doing very well. But regular people think the opposite.
One of the primary reasons they posited was the real change in prices from one or two years ago to today. Even though inflation has fallen to a pretty reasonable rate, and wages have pretty much kept pace, people have a hard time getting over the fact that their grocery bill is still 20% higher than it was two years ago. It will take a long time for people to accept current prices, even if they remain stable, as the new normal.

Here's a question, what do our resident Trumpers feel about Donny's talents as an executive?
If he only hired "the best people", why did he burn through 44 cabinet members? Contrast that to 26 for Biden. Shouldn't Trump have a better record than Joe in this regard?
Also, how do you feel about the fact that only 4 out of those 44 are endorsing DJT for president?

Wow, that sounds familiar. Where have I heard that before?

Well. That's ugly.
Not surprising, though. The sister of murder victim Ruby Garcia said she and her family were home watching live, in disbelief, as former President Donald Trump told an audience in Grand Rapids that he had spoken with “some of her family.”
“He did not speak with any of us, so it was kind of shocking seeing that he had said that he had spoke with us, and misinforming people on live TV,” Ruby Garcia’s sister, Mavi Garcia, told Target 8.
Mavi Garcia, the family spokesperson, said neither Trump nor anybody from his campaign has contacted her or anybody in her immediate family. She said her family is close and she would know if that had happened.

I won't be there to help this November, but there's still hope for Bucks (the county that arguably gave Biden Pennsylvania in 2020).

Oh this is too funny:

So I guess... not so fraudulent after all, eh?Driving the news: Trump — who has long cited mail-in voting in questioning the results of the 2020 election — abruptly shifted his public messaging this month.
"ABSENTEE VOTING, EARLY VOTING, AND ELECTION DAY VOTING ARE ALL GOOD OPTIONS," he posted on Truth Social.
"REPUBLICANS MUST MAKE A PLAN, REGISTER, AND VOTE!"

NY police now say that almost half of the demonstrators at Columbia were not affiliated with the university but came from outside. I wonder how many of them came from MAGA supporters and militias. Trump definitely benefits from violence and unrest, he is in fact the poster boy for such things.

This is the same line of thinking MAGA deployed on Jan 6 saying antifa infiltrated the Capitol.G-smashed wrote: ↑May 2nd, '24, 11:19 NY police now say that almost half of the demonstrators at Columbia were not affiliated with the university but came from outside. Just like for Jan 6 I think any accusations of a conspiracy without supporting evidence is not worth entertaining.
Personally, I think it's unlikely 'actors' were present in any material way.
