sunday 4/28 report

Post by skiadikt »

skied the power hr and a half so not much to report. probably the warmest day of the season. got a couple last licks in the canyon. everything good. gave highline a proper send off. my rotd despite the broken field skiing involved. soft, smooth well skied in lines. actually thought superstar had it's best bumps of the spring. think they left more bumps from the day before. mid o good but could be "walking involved" by tomorrow.

About 10+ skiers, many on bumps skis, turned out The Light right before closing time.

Afternoon Report: Yep, warmest day of the season ! Sunny for the most part with some clouds here and there. 2:00 - 4:00 shift.

Skied D, E, F, and G taking advantage of the last day for the gondi. Very light crowd in the afternoon; heard it was quite busy early.

After a North Ridge warmup, was super impressed on how good Cascade was. Plenty of left side "untracked" corn/bumps especially on the upper half of the trail. Perfect softening all the way down.

Went back up to ski it again and felt I just has to try Downdraft [One of the DD's Rusty]. ROTD. Fantastic.

Double Dipper great as well. And, like SA, final "basin" run down Highline also excellent though much bonier than Saturday.

One down Supe TTB great. Noticed chair was stopped as we were skiing down Preston's Pitch to continued down to the U-Bar. Chair still stopped 15 minutes later. Like SA and others have posted, these stoppages, with the hissing air sound up above have become common.

Great weekend. Fun hanging out with the 'regulars' listening to Sammy B on the deck. Fun closing party at Liquid Art later on.
